Ana Macho: The Caribbean Pop Star

Short documentary film following gender non-conforming artist Ana Macho (A.K.A The Caribbean Pop Star) through New York City and Puerto Rico. A poetic reimagination of the current rising phenomenon of Queer Reggaeton in Puerto Rico under the lens of Ana Macho. While capturing Ana’s personal and artistic environments, the film shines light on the socio-cultural shifts the artist is making by reappropriating the music genre with bold nuances and deconstruction.
